In this webinar, health care financing expert Dr. Adam Wilk will discuss the shifting landscape of financing for school-based mental health services as states manage tight budgets during the 2020 economic slowdown.
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the potential implications of state budget crises for school-based mental health financing.
- Identify new sources of financing for school-based mental health services derived from governmental responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Understand the importance of state, federal, and local sources for financing school-based mental health services in different states and communities in the Southeast.

About the Presenter
Adam Wilk is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management. He is a health economist and health services researcher, conducting research on access to care for Medicaid-enrolled and underserved populations, state and federal policy making and financing of health care services, and providers’ decision-making and operations in the context of managing the needs of patients with complex, chronic illnesses.
