Meet Our Trainers

Jeanette Lopez-Urbina, LCSW has worked in the mental health/social services field since the year 2000, including residential and community-based services, through services such as Wraparound, psychotherapy, and violence prevention work. Jeanette has worked extensively with youth and families, especially in the area of trauma, supporting youth and families in specialized services that address gang involvement, sexual exploitation, immigration trauma, and issues related oppression, racism, and acculturation issues.  Jeanette created a training on 'A Trauma Informed Perspective on Youth Gang Involvement' with another training on 'Engaging Families Impacted by Historical, Intergenerational and Individual Trauma.'

Both trainings are self-paced and her course on youth gang involvment offers CAMFT CEs.
Shameka is a Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA), currently she is the Director of Program Operations at a campus with a stabilization and assessment center, an intensive residential treatment program, and a pregnant and parenting teens program. Her experience includes being a Trainer and Administrator over both general residential operations (GROs) and Residential Treatment Centers (RTCs), providing intensive treatment for foster care and adoptive youth as well as training foster parents in crisis intervention techniques, utilizing behavioral modification for high-risk high school students, developmental therapy and early intervention services for children, and working with and providing treatment for domestic violence offenders. Healing is a continual process, and she values seeing and being a part of the growth of others. Learn more through her quarterly course 'Crisis Intervention & De-escalation'
Anthony Goulet is an author, inspirational speaker and full-time trainer who began working in youth development in 1991. In his thirty-one years of experience Anthony has worked as a Youth Advocate, Substance Abuse Counselor, street-level Gang Interventionist, and Street Outreach worker facilitating human trafficking and homelessness prevention and intervention for youth and young adults. Along with Anthony being a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) practitioner. The titles he holds most sacred are Dad, Husband, and Human Being. He conducts our training and is certified for 'Youth Mental Health First Aid'
